this past weekend, one of my good friends hosted a bit of a christmas shindig to let loose and welcome the holiday season before finals week. of course, me being me, i thought “now what holiday party would be complete without a festive cookie?” here was my answer.

given that a few of my friends have food allergies and sensitivities- think lactose allergies, gluten intolerances, etc- these were the ideal solution. the swap of regular sugar for brown in the meringues made them taste like freshly toasted marshmallows once baked, and the dark chocolate dip lent just enough richness that was pleasantly perked up by the few grains of sea salt atop each one. make a few of these yourself, or other little sweet, to share with friends, won’t you?
